Scandic The Reef Resort offers a 1500 m² large Caribbean water park for their guests, where both children and adults can enjoy the slides, waterfall, outdoor and indoor pools, and the lovely tropical heat. More than 135.000 guests visit the hotel each year. Previously, The Reef – Hotel & Resort was forced to close down after just 18 months of operation due to insufficient water quality. The treatment plant based on membranes failed to work and it was not possible to have it in operation. The only option was to get rid of all the water treatment equipment and start over with implementing the inBlue solution. Since then, clean water and a safe bathing environment are waiting for the visitors. The resort is also pleased with the improved operating economy with significantly lower water and energy consumption.

Scandic The Reef Resort was reconstructed in collaboration with Rambøll and inBlue´s partner, Jysk Svømmebads Teknik under 3 months.
