Snurrom Badhus – Kalmar

inBlue AB, in collaboration with PEAB AB, is constructing a new swimming pool in Kalmar, Sweden. The gross area of the facility will be 15.000 m².

Snurrom Badhus is the second large-scale project to the private, public pool operator, KunskapsPorten AB. It was inspired by KunskapsPorten first collaboration with inBlue, a project called Vattenhuset. inBlue is pleased to have this new opportunity, where a satisfied customer trusts us to contribute to another one of their projects with our innovative technology.

The customer, the main contractor and the architects have been focusing on integrating the energy saving system in the building, which will make it one of the cheapest large-scale water parks in operation for the coming decades. With all inBlue technologies on board we expect the indoor air quality to accommodate long and frequent visits, even for people with high chlorine sensitivity.

The pool area will include

• Family pools with water slides, hot tubs, lazy river, wave pool and children´s pool
• 50 m Olympic sized swimming pool with bulkhead
• 2 training pools with moveable floor
• Rehab pool with moveable floor
• Wellness area with hot tubs and warm water pools

The facility is scheduled to open in the summer of 2025.
