Scandic The Reef offers a 1500 sqm large Caribbean water park where children and adults can enjoy themselves with slides, waterfall, outdoor pool and enjoy the lovely tropical heat. More than 135.000 guests visit the hotel each year. The Reef – Hotel & Resort, was forced to close after just 18 months of operation due to insufficient water quality. The treatment plant based on membranes did not work, and it was not possible to make it work. Only one option left. Getting rid of all the water treatment equipment and start over with inBlue technology. Now there is clean water and a safe bathing environment on the reef. The resort is also pleased with the improved operating economy with significantly lower water and energy consumption.

The Reef was reconstructed in collaboration with Rambøll and inBlues partner Jysk Svømmebads Teknik in just 3 months.
