The large High Volume Low Speed (HVLS) Northern Light® roof ventilator was developed in cooperation between inBlue/Ultraaqua and Nordicco. The ceiling fans create a slow and silent air movement. This effectively evens out temperature differences between the floor and the ceiling and reduces moisture and humidity levels. As such, Northern Light fans deliver energy savings, CO2 reduction, and indoor climate improvements.
The HVLS fans work perfectly in tandem with existing HVAC low suction systems to remove chlorine by-products. The fan silently circulates massive amounts of air across the UVC lamps integrated on the upper side of the air blades. This effectively deactivates airborne pathogens and reduces unwanted airborne disinfection by-products, chloroform (CHCl₃) and trichloramine (NCl₃), as they are continuously exposed to UVC light.
